Lisa Elder
Community Partnerships & Outreach Manager
Lisa began her journey with GutMonkey as a cohort member, providing on-site facilitation to partner organizations. Through this work, she developed strong relationships within the community and a deep appreciation for GutMonkey’s mission. She was thrilled to officially join the team full-time as the Community Partners & Outreach Manager, where she works closely with partner organizations to ensure clear communication, responsive support, and shared success.
Lisa is also passionate about making sure partners and participants alike are aware of the incredible programming GutMonkey offers to not only grow, but Be Brave!
Lisa is a Recreational Therapist with nearly 15 years of experience supporting individuals with diverse medical conditions and disabilities. Her work is rooted in fostering community connection, outdoor engagement, and empowerment to help individuals not only live, but truly thrive within their communities.
Prior to joining GutMonkey, Lisa worked in a range of settings, including high-need youth programs, as a camp director for individuals with disabilities and chronic conditions, and as a supervisor at a rehabilitation hospital specializing in brain and spinal cord injuries.
Lisa loves live music and being outside whether it’s on water, on snow or on land! She especially loves it when her dog, Tucker, can join in on the fun!
